What I learned from mine and other's virtual tours

My partner and I chose to create our virtual tour on the seven wonders of the world. We posted pictures up for each wonder and then displayed a description of the facts and the location of the site. Lastly, for our activity we put a web link to sites that enhance further understanding of the Seven Wonders. This could be used in the classroom to teach students the geographical locations and facts of the some of the worlds most important sights. I also had the opportunity to view two other virtual tours. One concerned the most famous volcanoes around the world and the other talked about the the California Gold Rush. It was awesome to see where everything was that I have heard so much about since I was just a child and I think they did a fabulous job! It is my belief that virtual tours can be used to teach just about any topic/unit in school. :)
