Reflection for Week 14

1.  What article did you choose to read for your fourth article?  I chose to read a talk given by Gordon B. Hinckley  called, "An Ensign to the Nations, a Light to the World."  I really enjoyed this article because it talked about how members of our church can be an example for the world to follow if we remember the covenants we have made with our Heavenly Father and choose only appropriate media/entertainment to be involved in.

2.  What are the most important things you learned from the readings?  I learned that the most important thing is to become educated and to educate those around you about appropriate internet use.  I also think one of the most important things is prevention!

3.  How will what you have read influence your actions as a parent/teacher?  I will try and be as mindful as I can as far as the internet/media my students and kids are involved in.  I will also allow for open communication so they know that if ever they come across a pop-up they can come talk to me and won't feel ashamed.

4.  How can you use the readings as a positive influence on family/friends?  I have already set a goal that this upcoming Sunday I will prepare a family home evening lesson based off of the articles I read today.  I will try to be a good example and not view anythings potentially inappropriate.
